The
Friends of Amgueddfa Cymru-National Museum Wales are delighted to
welcome the return of Trevor Fishlock who some years ago was the guest
speaker at our occasional evening lecture/recital series. Trevor will
give his talk in the Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre, National Museum
Cardiff, on Friday 22 May 2015 at 7.00 pm.
Trevor is so well known as hardly to call for any introduction, being a
prolific author and broadcaster, several TV series such as the widely
acclaimed ‘Fishlock’s Wales’ testifying to his reputation. As a
journalist, Trevor was a foreign correspondent at the Daily Telegraph
and latterly at The Times.
Linking with his talk, Trevor’s most recent book ‘A Gift of Sunlight –
the Fortune and Quest of the Davies Sisters of Llandinam’ recounts the
story of the sisters, famed for their bequests of the Impressionist and
other paintings that form the core of the world-class collection held
by Amgueddfa Cymru.
Tickets for this special occasion are available at a cost of £36
to include the recital and the ensuing dinner with wine included.
The event is open to non-members of the Friends who may wish to come
and bookings for tables of 8 or 10 places are welcome. Dress: lounge
suits for gentlemen. Free parking will be available in the car park at
the rear of the Museum.
If you wish to attend, please complete the slip below, sending it with
your cheque in favour of Friends of National Museum Wales to Roger
