One
of our most popular speakers, Brian has been invited for the third time
to entertain us with his illustrated discussions on aspects of
industrial art and architecture in south Wales. To an extent, he will
break new ground in today’s talk on the coal trade with France and the
setting up of Cardiff’s link with Nantes. Again, he will be using some
materials from the National Museum Wales collections. A former Education Officer at National Museum Cardiff, Brian spent seven years in Blaenafon while Big Pit was being established, and recently retired as Curator of Pontypridd Museum. Much in demand as a speaker, he has published several articles and, last year, an illustrated book about Pontypridd Bridge, its builder and environs. |
