The members
of Friends Museum Wales, founded
in 1955, support and promote the National Museums of Wales, raising substantial
funds to finance projects across the seven sites.
Friends' events bring
members together to share their enthusiasm for the Museum and give National Museum Wales funding which we raise through:
excursions of varying
duration to places
of interest in the UK and abroad
monthly public lectures
and Zoom talks on topics of artistic, historical and
scientific interest and other activities such as concerts and 'behind
the scenes’
